The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed once again cemented its place as one of the greatest automotive gatherings in the world, an exhilarating mix of heritage, innovation and pure spectacle, all set against the elegant backdrop of Goodwood House.

At the heart of the Festival was the famous Hillclimb. Crowds lined the route to watch everything from pre-war racers to the latest Formula 1 machines. Standout moments included demonstration runs from motorsport legends, record-breaking attempts, and the almost surreal experience of watching electric hypercars storm up the hill in near silence, proof that the future of speed is as thrilling as its past.

The event’s core theme, “The Winning Formula: Champions & Challengers”, paid tribute to the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship. More than 100 F1 cars from every era were showcased. No less than seven past world champions were present – Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Jacques Villeneuve and Mika Häkkinen – all of whom descended onto the iconic Goodwood House balcony for a special appearance to rapturous applause from the crowd

Across the grounds, the atmosphere buzzed with discovery. The Forest Rally Stage echoed with gravel-flying drama, the Supercar Paddock dazzled with the world’s most desirable cars, and classic displays gave enthusiasts a chance to appreciate motoring icons up close. Beyond the cars, the experience was a feast for all the senses; great food, live interviews, and that unique Goodwood energy that feels both glamorous and down-to-earth.
